Chris Pickrell, Naturopathic Doctor, Registered Herbalist
Focusing on total wellness and health promotion, I primarily use botanical medicine, Chinese medicine/acupuncture, and counselling to support a person as they move towards achieving true balance in all aspects of their lives. Addressing root cause, treatment often begins by optimizing digestion and absorption, while working to balance stress, sleep, and the fostering of a sustainable healthy lifestyle. My practice philosophy is one of supported independence: In any individual treatment plan, my goal is to help someone re-discover the tangible, practical, ways to regain balance in their lives with the minimum amount of intervention.

Together we will determine the best treatment options for you and your lifestyle. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I utilize comprehensive lab testing, nutritional guidance and supplementation, botanical medicines, acupuncture, bio-identical hormones and lifestyle modifications to help you take charge of your health.
I began my health education journey at the University of Toronto where I received an Honours Bachelor degree, double majoring in Health & Disease and Psychology. I furthered my education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where I received my Doctorate of Naturopathy.
Yan Yen Loo, Naturopathic Doctor
I am a licensed naturopathic doctor, focused in the mental wellness of patients. This includes stress, anxiety and mood imbalances. Ashton Shearer, R.TCMP, R.ac
I’m an artist and medicine person, licensed acupuncturist, and herbalist practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine. I believe Chinese Medicine is a powerful holistic medical system that yields profound results, improving a multitude of conditions within the mind, body and spirit.

I’ve spent years working in the arts sector with marginalized communities and use the tools I’ve learned to help those navigating systemic barriers.
During treatment we address the manifesting symptoms as well as the root cause of the issue. We will focus on improving sleep, digestion and exercise, while also exploring other factors like environment, connection with the natural world, relationships, creativity—all of which are central to maintaining health goals in the longterm.
I offer acupuncture, herbal medicine, and cupping (Traditional Chinese Medicine) at affordable sliding-scale rates. I run a NADA AcuDetox acupuncture circle at Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre and at community events in the city. My interest is in mental health, methylation issues, nutrient deficiencies, the microbiome and digestive health, autoimmune diseases and immune system dysfunction, reproductive health for females and males, and performance optimization.
Going through my own health challenges in my twenties and thirties lead me to naturopathic medicine and these experiences helped me realize that I want to help others live their healthiest, brightest lives possible and support them on their individual journeys. I’d like to work together with you wherever you are on your journey to help you reach your health goals. I look forward to seeing you!

Doug Householder, Certified Nutritional Practitioner, Kresser Institute trained Practitioner
After years of investigation, working on resolving my own health issues, I saw the success that Functional Medicine could have in getting to the root cause of my condition. This search compelled me to get a formal education so I could help others that suffer unnecessarily. Having first received a diploma as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, I continued by graduating from the Kresser Institute for Functional and Evolutionary Medicine.
I have a strong focus on gut health, that includes stool testing where appropriate, dietary and lifestyle changes and targeted supplement recommendations. I look for the fundamental causes of conditions with the understanding that symptoms are never the disease but simply a manifestation of it. Chronic health issues are more often than not, an imbalance in one or more systems. Beyond gut health, I consider sleep quality, stress, hormonal health, movement capacity, nutrient sufficiency, social connections, exposure to nature and psycho-spiritual health.
